HORSEBACK RIDING

Trail Riding

Join us today for one of our scenic rides through the heart of Metamora Horse Country!

No experience? No problem! We will spend time with you ensuring your comfort and safety throughout all aspects of the ride. Our trail rides begin with 30 minutes of onsite instruction to guarantee you feel safe and ready to hit the road!

We have 5 mile and 8 mile rides available for those adventurous folks who want to get out and experience nature in the most beautiful way imaginable!

FAQS:

Short Ride approx 5 Miles $100/person

Long ride approx 7 miles $150/person

Is there a weight limit?

We welcome riders up to 200 pounds for the comfort and safety of both horse and rider.

Is there an age limit?

We welcome kids 8 and up to come ride but reserve the right to require ponying for younger or more inexperienced riders.

Rides are scheduled 7 days per week on a first come first served basis. Payment must be made at the time of the reservation to hold your spot on the ride.

What if the weather is poor? All rides are transferable to a different day/time but requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance. No rides are refunded inside of this window.

Refunds are made at the discretion of the Freedom Acres Farms staff.

All gear and riding equipment is provided and riders are matched to their horses by age, level of experience, and riding ability.

ALL RIDES are guided by our trained staff to ensure your safety. We do not allow horses to be ridden without staff supervision.

-When booking please include rider age, height, weight, and experience level with horseback riding. This helps us match you to the perfect horse!

Drop In Rides

For riders who wish to experience horseback riding on a more one on one basis we offer drop in arena rides.

We schedule drop ins per hour starting at $50 per hour for the first hour and $25/hour after.

*** We also offer punch cards for 6 visits for $275***

Horses and riders are matched based on level of experience and ability.

All tack and riding gear is provided and riders are welcome to use any of the training implements and tools found in the arena.

Instructors are onsite to help ensure riders safety, comfort, and enjoyment.

Parties and Special Events

We love connecting with our community through special events and parties!

From birthday parties, family get togethers, BBQ's, Girl's Night Out, and more, Freedom Acres Farms LLC offers many different options for those looking to include horseback riding into their special event!

Starting at $200 per hour.

Horseback riding, games, picnics, and our petting zoo animals are all part of the fun!

Trail rides are optional for an additional fee.

All events are reserved on a first come first served basis and reservations are only held when payment is made in full.

Policies

***ALL Riding, tours, lessons, and drop ins are by APPOINTMENT ONLY. We do not accept walk ins. ***

Cancellations:

All sales are final. In the event of an emergency, please cancel your ride 48 hours in advance for the consideration of a full refund.

Cancelations less than 48 hours in advance will be considered for refunds on a case per case basis.

No refunds will be issued until you receive a confirmation text or email from either our business line 810-895-2726 or via email stating that a refund is being issued.

Michigan Weather can be very unpredictable!

We ask that you allow us to make the decision to cancel for weather. We will make every attempt to contact you as soon as the decision is made. In the event that we cancel, you will have the option to reschedule at the next available time or receive a credit towards a future ride.

If you cancel due to weather, you will not be refunded. All sales are final.

We will ride in light, misty rain or snow but not in downpours or lightening if we can avoid it. Extremely high temperatures will also be taken into consideration as the health and safety of our horses is of utmost importance to us.

It is your responsibility to check your email/text for any cancelation notice, prior to your arrival.

Safety:

For the safety of every rider and the guides, everyone will be required to wear a helmet during all horseback riding activities.

No one will be permitted to ride without a signed liability waiver.

Children under 8 years old are not permitted on trail rides and Farm Staff reserve the right to refuse rides to anyone deemed incapable of riding safely either on the trails or otherwise.

All riders should wear pants and closed toed shoes or boots.
